Is this a feature for v5 or a cheeky addition to v4+ ?
Often in training Bo highlights divergences between price and santo’s. However these are end of day charts. Wouldn’t it be great if we could spot these in real time on 5, 15, 60mins or whatever timeframes turn out to be the most consistent intra day and be alerted when they occur.
We have over 200 members, how about using some spare cpu capacity on each members pc and their data feeds to update a shared watchlist list of potential targets on 5, 15, 60mins as they occur and publish them for all to see?
How might this work?
First which symbols to analyse, let’s assume we identify 50 symbols / indexes which exhibit consistent behaviour. To this list we add upto 25 others identified by various means ie training sessions, scans etc which will change week by week. We now have a list of 75 symbols.
P3a users agree to subscribe to this list of symbols for real time alerts through their p3a options. Each member agrees to process one symbol out of the list of 75 if it has not been assigned to another p3a member. As a P3A user logs on they pick up a free symbol from the list. Using their data feed and a common analysis template they analyse 5, 15, 60 min timeframes and trigger the alerts to the central watchlist which can be viewed by all p3a users who have subscribed to process / view.
From phicubes viewpoint there are no data feed issues as only the result id for the given time frames is posted. Because the load is spread across the community the impact on each users pc and their datafeed will be minimal, a member will be limited to 1 symbol each. As we have over 200 users and a watchlist of a maximum of 75 realtime symbols we should be able to process all symbols in the list even as people log in and out and still keep the central watchlist current
simple eh!!?
Ok time for bottle no 2.
